Libra Wheelbase?
Hi all,
I intend to refit the z cars suspension this weekend and get the wheelbase and track widths correct so I know that I'm dealing with the right clearances etc as the rebuild continues.
I can get the track right by matching the front but stupidly forgot to measure the wheelbase before the old suspension was removed.......
Does anyone know the correct wheelbase dimension? I have some paperwork from a previous owner which quotes a measurement of 2311cm?
Cheers
Jamie

Re: Libra Wheelbase?
Given that most Libra use the same engine, gearbox & driveshafts and wheels (or at least the same offset) as the MGF should the track width not be the same?
MGF/TF is quoted as 1410mm rear track width, 1400 front.

Re: Libra Wheelbase?
I thought the back had a slightly wider track. Matty

Re: Libra Wheelbase?
It would make sense if the track was the same as the mgf but maybe it just uses more of the plunge on the driveshafts?
I think the track is supposed to be the same front to rear but I'm going by the spec sheets that came with the car paperwork??

Re: Libra Wheelbase?
The difference between the MGF/TF at 1410 and the Libra/Spyder at 1380 is 15mm each side. My MGTF 11 spokes are offset 15mm more each side than the KN Racelines that came with Spyder - therefore if the track on mine is measured at 1380 with the GTM supplied wheels it will be 1410 with the TF wheels mounted. The hubs haven't changed positions so the driveshaft extension is the same!
