Please do Ian. I have this issue with mine (temperamental LCD, more blank than on) and have a spare but couldn’t see how to get it apart?

Any advice on how to get it apart would be welcome.

The bezel is crimped on to the front I got behind it with a small flat blade screwdriver and carefully levered it out slightly from the back working around the circumference once there is a small gap insert the blade under the bezel with the screwdriver at approx 15 degrees to the horizontal and work around the whole bezel very slowly easing the screwdriver handle slightly towards the rear of the speedo with each 360 deg rotation of the tacho this gradually opens up the bezel until you can remove it. Takes a few minutes but comes off without damage. Once the glass etc is out there is a thick black spacer ring which did not want to come out i slipped a small flat blade screwdriver between this and the white case and there is a groove in the black ring used this to lever a mm or so out in multiple places around the circumference. Next problem you cannot spin the needle around as per the video as the plastic trip spindle is in the way so go to the stepper motor spindle and carefully lever off with screwdriver final point is where the ribbon cable fits into the connector lever top of connector up carefully it only comes up 2mm and is retained in the connector but frees the cable
