Post Coolant level sensor/alarm
Has anyone fitted a coolant level sensor?
If so, what did you use? I’ve looked at the Eliseparts kit and lots of home made kits but would appreciate some feedback if you have a reliable solution.
Thanks.

Post Re: Coolant level sensor/alarm
I sorted one for well under £10 with the help of Ebay.

I found a sensor for £3.75 - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/202795156122 - and a flashing warning light/buzzer for £2.50 - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/362991869082.

Sensor is very easy to install, it just needs a 12v feed and no holes to drill in the tank - so no chance of leaks.
Just strap it to the expansion tank at the level you want the warning to sound and the buzzer goes off when the coolant drops below it.

It works by sensing the presence of the liquid/coolant, triggering when the liquid is no longer present and sending a signal to the light/buzzer to do its thing.

Had it on the Midas and it worked fine......yet to fit it to the Libra.

Chinglish instructions were entertaining but useless, so had to work out the wiring but simple enough and I have a diagram if it's any use.
