 Tracking question...,,
Hi all, Firstly thank you to everyone who has answered my other posts. These have been really helpful and I'm now well on my way.... In terms of the getting the tracking done, where is the best place to take the car? I'm in Berkshire. Can any main stream garage do it, or do I need to go somewhere specific? Many thanks Paul

Anyone should be able to do it, but they will need guidance as to what settings to use as the computer will not reconise a GTM. Best have a small ring around, a specialist might be worth a trip over a normal garage as they maybe more willing to have a play

West -- I think that you mean anyone with laser equipment can set up a GTM -- with standard tracking gauges its difficult to set up the rear tracking as there's no centreline reference so the thrust line (??) could be out of line. Set up with laser equipment sorts this and whilst it will be a bit more expensive is the best way to ensure everything's in line.

 Re: Tracking question...,,
the original build manual that i have here , says to use string! its a bit of a faff but i managed it a few years back. you want 1/16 inch toe in front AND back. that figure is measured on the tyres sorry if you knew this already. when its right you dont get tyre wear and the rossa handles well.
i can scan in the relevant pages and photobucket them for you if you want
best wishes peter.
