Thought I'd share a few pictures of my ongoing Rossa 2 rebuild - these show the modified rear subframe test fitted to the tub before painting.
I'm planning to use a BMW K100 head a series engine and it makes for a tight fit against the rear bulkhead. As a consequence I've decided to remove the subframe front member and fabricate a removable section to allow easier access to the rear bulkhead area from underneath. This uses a piece of 30mm box section located with 4 bolts to captive nuts welded to the subframe. I've drilled a few lightening holes as well as this section adds a bit of weight.
Just got to prep and paint the frame and bulkhead before rebuilding the rear suspension - then on to the front!!
Should get it done before the end of the decade
