Post Rossa MK2 Fuel blockage - help and advice needed
Hi,
I have a mk2 Rossa, 1275. I didn't build it but have had it some time. Unfortunately its been stood for a few years. I am trying to resurrect it.

My problem:

The car has a front mounted electric pump. The rubber hose from the pump to the metal pipe (which disapears into the tunnel) was replaced as it was perished and leaking. The pump seems to work - it pumps petrol out of the outlet ok.

Howver, petrol isn't getting to the back of the car.

I've disconnected the rubber hose in the engine compartment. This hose connect to the metal pipe which appears to go straight into the tunnel. No petrol comes out.

I've tried sending compressed air down the pipe (with both ends disconnected). There seems to be a blockage.

Any thoughts. I've not heard of metal pipe blocking up before (it was running fine before it was laid up).

I'm not sure how feasible it is to replace the pipe in the tunnel, without dropping the subframe (which I'd rather not do).

Paul

On my set up, I have a filter king regulator in the engine bay, so you should at least have a regulator to control the flow and possibly this has gummed up if debris or sediment has been drawn through.

I’m not sure I’d bother trying to unblock a fuel pipe that I couldn’t see the condition of. Anything I replace now is done with Teflon lined braided hose, through the cabin if necessary.

THamks fpr the replies. I do have an inline fliter. Replacing the pipeseems the best solution. Has anyone done this , ie how easy will it be to push the pipe through the tunnel - without dropping the sub-frame
