New to the forum, and having obtained permission from the wife I managed to get the chassis and most of the shell for a ballista for the princely sum of £50, I did have to buy a fibreglass mould for a locost full shell for £150 as well though!

So now the first of a few snags, does anyone know what glass was used in this? I’m looking to get it rolling and somewhere near to water right before winter gets here so any help would be appreciated!

Did they ever get as far as putting glass into the prototype? I suppose they must have at least had the source in mind. Hopefully someone with knowledge of the project will be along before long...

Good luck with your project.

The windscreen looks like a a Lotus Elan M100. The front wheel drive job from the 90's

The side glass looks flat? That could be custom?

Looks like a private address.
I guess you could write to it?

Failing that it might be worth getting in touch with Steve Hole or one of the other mags to see if they have any info or contact details?

It’s not on the shed now, parts are arriving and it’s now in the garage so I can make a start.

Lots of stuff has arrived, engine and gearbox had already been collected from across the country so now I have drive shafts, 4 hubs and brake setups, fuse/relay box, digital bits to make a dash, and the other bits I’d already accumulated like the turbo, ecu, stainless manifolds, inter cooler and n02 kit. Now I need to put an mot on my mini so I can sell that and move my mondeo out of the garage to make room to build!!

Power steering turned up! Controller is on its way. Need to buy some reels of wire now so I can make a start on the loom.

This isn’t really my thing, but I’m watching with interest, as this progresses 8)

Might not look like much, but if you want power steering without the hydraulics then you’ll be needing one of these.
