Hi, they were supplied by Superflex. If you search on here for Superflex then some history will show. GTMOC Secretary Bob Snooks did have some stock.

I was hoping for dimensions so I can spin some up out of nylon.

Do so at your own risk.

Nylon won't be very good as it's too hard and will absorb water, potentially causing it to swell.

The PU bushes have a little 'give' for a less harsh ride and less transmission of jolts to the body tub..

If you do want solid hard bushes for like, track only use, then acetal would be a better choice, lower water absorption and lower friction.

thanks for the dimensions, the point of nylon bushes is to create a hinge, the squeak you get with poly bushes is due to stiction and friction, nylon doesn't produce this because your not actually bolting up on the nylon, you clamp the crush tube in the nylon which is free to rotate inside the nylon, this technique is used a lot on Caterham's and the like as an upgrade for the poly bushes, especially on the wider vehicles.

as an aside, not sure i could try and blame the club or anyone else if I'm making these myself AND something goes wrong, and I'm sure i wouldn't try either!

The point of PU bushes is to create a hinge also, properly installed PU bushes you don't clamp up on the PU either you clamp the stainless steel tube and the bush rotates on that. Apply grease on the surface of the tube/inside the bush and the top surface of the bush's flange - latter has to rotate against the inside face of the brackets so is necessary to be lubed.

I get no noise from my PU bushes cos they are kept greased with moly grease as detailed above.
