I might be out of step with prices, but that looks like strong money for what it is. It would appear market forces agree too.

I agree - far too high for a project even if its an early car - plus cost of getting it back to UK I guess ...

I viewed this Cox awhile back, it was in Burton if I remember correctly.

it also had sitting about 5 feet from it another Cox, which was so rotten it had no steel chassis, nothing, and I MEAN nothing rearward of the floors most forward brace. The body shell was perfect though, it even had a BRAND NEW front end, it hadn't even been trimmed of excess glass.

Anyway the Cox in question.

It was very badly rotten,,,,,Errrm saveable,,,,,,,Errrrmmm maybe, JUST. But this was a good 5 years ago. I'm sure I have pictures of it some where, the ad does show it from its best side.

I'm not sure but,,,,, I'm aware of a French guy who keeps popping up in conversations with Cox owners, or other mini specials of old. He seems to be trying to purchase a Cox for racing in a European race series. I have met him three times in the past, and have been told that he had bought this one. Now I dont know if that's true I was just told it (not much help I know) but if it is true why do you think its for sale again?

Is it too far gone to save?

Did "someone", maybe in France pay too much, only to find out its condition once he had it in his possession and needs to recoup outlay?

Who knows?

I've seen it, and myself personally wouldn't tackle it.

I'd just like to point out this guy you say is selling it, is NOT the guy I have mentioned in my previous post.
