What I have noticed on other sites is that you have to re-log-in once a month nowadays.
After that you can log-in automatically for a month.
That is acceptable, retyping your username and password everytime you visit a site is not very userfriendly and annoying (my opinion).
Can't the time before expiration be lengthened?

Cheers

I was trying to find a positive spin.

We are aware of the problem, we are looking into it.

It is nothing we have changed directly to my knowledge.

From the research I have done it is more likely a hosting/cookie problem which is new ground for me, We are speaking to our hosts as well. If anyone in the club is a whiz on forum codes etc please feel free to pm me to help.

Still no improvement Neil?
It keeps being annoying, not being logged in automatically.

No improvement yet, some research has suggested it is a php forum problem, as I have found a few mentions about it on the web.

Checked the settings suggested and all seem right, I have to be very careful changing log in settings as it is possible to totally break it and no one will be able to log in then we will be stuck

Hi Neil, I have no problems logging in, Click on log-in, then when log-in page appears, click on user name,
which appears below. Click on this, then a line of stare appears in password box. Click on log-in and that's it.
I am in.

Hi Don

I'm guessing You've told Your browser to remember passwords.

I've had no luck trying that on android - but i'm running an old version on a reasonably old phone

Cheers.

Been rather busy, but I have got the Coupe back out as the daily driver, but next week it is going into hibination for winter. Its getting silly season at work now with the f1 season finishing too. I have not forgotten just have not got to it yet, I do plan to have a word with a friend of mine as he is a bit more clued up. I hope he can give me a bit of guidance as it is new to me.

Firefox is now not remembering my log in details as the forum is being flagged as insecure as it does not use HTTPS and does not have an SSL certificate.

Before my details were remembered but I was still having to log into the forum on every visit.

Time for a total upgrade?

On that subject, anyone know how I get this site to forget my attempted log-in details? One time I typed my password in the user name box by mistake and every time I type in that box it comes up with a list of suggested words and on that list is my password - doesn't feel very secure but I can't see how to delete it! Obviously my password has been changed now...
