Post subject: | Hello! - Newbie in Buckinghamshire |
Hello all I am new to the Forum so I thought I would introduce myself. I am new to GTMs. My previous kit car build was a 1.8 K-series powered Sylva Fury and before that a xflow-powered Caterham 7. Other cars include the usual midgets / spitfires but have always loved lightweight fiberglass sportscars, particularly the little GTMs - the Libra is still in my wishlist. (one day..!) I am intrigued by the Coupe though - to this extent I am looking for a GTM coupe that is needing a bit of TLC (and at a later stage an engine conversion - possibly a Honda unit or one of the modern lightweight twincams). But for now its a case of learning more and listening to the knowledge and wisdom of existing owners ! So my thanks in advance and I look forward to the discussions on the forum. cheers Richard |

Welcome! You should get plenty of advice to help in your quest and with the project when you find one. There is at least one Honda powered coupe in this community. |

Good grief - didn't realise the Coupe could take so many engines. The Honda b16s seem very pricey these days, but the Toyota t-sport engines are pretty cheap and powerful. Failing that a left field choice - Fiat 1.4 16v / 6 speed gearbox is a great engine and largely overlooked. Turbo versions too.. |
