There is an interesting article about car designer Richard Oakes in the October '21 issue of Classic Retro Modern magazine (the third issue of this new motoring magazine celebrating minor classics and the ordinary). This is a reasonably in depth interview with Richard Oakes running to 8 page sides. Includes a GTM Libra photo and his art work for the Midas Gold and GTM K3.
We learn that Richard Oakes has not completely retired after spending the last 50 years contributing to the designs of cars for Britain's low volume motor industry. His latest collaboration is on the ADO Coupe which will be presented at the Classic Motor Show in Birmingham in November (first revealed in 2019, images can be found online). This will also apparently coincide with the publication of a book celebrating Oakes' career.
