Was at Goodwood this weekend and they had a collectinn of early mid engine production car. Of which the Unipower Gt was included. It would have been nice for a Cox Gtm to be there but that is the problem, prodution and kit car. I find it odd the blurred line between the two and no interest in kits at all.

Snobbery - a Cox should be as welcome as a Unipower. Years ago, I used to have a Clan Crusader and there were constant arguments in the club as to its status. There were some factory-built ones and it was crash tested so some people saw it as a production vehicle and got very upset at it being called a kit car. In the 80's, I had an Elan Sprint which was supplied as a kit - if it had been a collection of 60's sports cars I bet they'd have let that in! |

There was a europa in the group, which could well have been sold as kit to avoid tax, which is what it was all about. That and legislation. I take my coupe to classic events and get very little interest. It is a pity there are some good kit car. |
