Post subject:  Hello Everyone and Please Help!!! looking for Q308 VAB

Hello to you, I would like to start by saying that I would eventually love to join your club however I am at the moment without a kitcar! A quick introduction, my name is Chris and I used to own a GTM Rossa Mk2 which through circumstances I sold about six years ago, I was just 18 and it was far too unreliable for a first car and I was far too poor (finacially) and inexperienced (mechanically), we weren’t best suited to each other. However over the last year or so the memory of it has been slowly eating away at me until finally the disease has become terminal, I have to own a kit car again!!! Not just any car, my old car.

That is where hopefully you could possibly help, I’m in desperate need of any information, tips or help that can help me locate my old car. Perhaps at some point it has been on your books as a members car.

These are the specs and the last known whereabouts.
· GTM Rossa Mk2 White 1300 A Series
· Reg Q308 VAB
· White Revolution alloy wheels
· A slightly Heath Robinson twin exhaust conversion
· A blue GT40 style vinyl stripe down each side
· Sold at auction in Ashford in 2004(ish)

So basically I am desperate to try to find my old car and become a kit car owner again, I have joined "Team GTM", emailed Kent Kit Car Club and last night sent a form off to the DVLA but as of yet have had no luck. Any help could give would be greatly appreciated and hopefully one day I will have my car back and can join your club.

Kind Regards Chris Scott

You could try this to see if it's still on the road, but you'd need to remember the exact make listed on the logbook to make it work.

I seem to recognise the number, but I bet there are a lot of Q___VAB no plates out there.

Thanks "KEN555", itwas certainly worth a check, I have this gut feeling (and we all know they are always 100% accurate :D ) that it never got back on the road once we sold it.

Hi Chris,

I got the Rossa Bug when I was given an uncompleted kit. I started collecting parts for that but along the way acquired another half built mk1 and a complete registered mk1. After driving that one I can safely say I am having a mid life crisis!

I did a quick check on the DVLA site's that I have access too and sadly the DVLA hold no records for Q308VAB suggesting it has either been scrapped or exported :(

Hope you find it or a suitable replacement Chris, there has just been a very nice mk1 example up on ebay this past week.
