 Metro Turbo, Turbocharger Rebuild
I have a lot of play in the turbo and smoke from the exhaust. Is it time for a rebuild? Have good compression on the engine and head has recently been rebuilt, new guides. So, smoke not from the engine, I think. What do you suggest, I tried a couple of local companies for a rebuild but no reply to emails or phone. Had a quote of turbo technics at min £195 or £400 full rebuild if needed plus vat. Is this my best option. Other option is eBay £120 new T3, are these Chinese sub-standard and not a good idea. Basically, after advice, looking to retain a relatively standard metro turbo engine. Thank you John

 Re: Metro Turbo, Turbocharger Rebuild
I’ve used turbo technics a lot in the past, never had a problem Shouldn’t be hardly any play in the turbo do id send it off for starters When a turbo blows it’s normally a cloud of white smoke Blue isn’t unusual if the seals are on there way out
