 Re: Paul's k3
Please read the posts.... ""I went to fill the car up with petrol but could not get the pump nozzle in the car very well when i got home i found that the Ultra Flexible Fuel Filler Hose that I got from car builder solutions has a rubber like inner in side it looks like it has come away from the outer so i can not get the pump nozzle in i have not had it on the car for long
does anyone know how Flexible the BLACK SILICONE Fuel Filler Hose is that they sell or any type of hose which will do the job ""
As Far as I am aware that would be covered in the sales of goods act.....described as petrol pipe, used as petrol pipe and failed..bought new from a shop...
No??

 Re: Paul's k3
have you worked out where the coolant is going? surely more likely to be leaking somewhere from a hose connection or suchlike rather than into the engine? wouldn't it run really badly if you were leaking 4l across the HG from the waterways to the cylindersin a relatively short mileage and if it was getting into the oil it would be coming out of the dipstick tube if that much had leaked into the sump? Hope its something simple...

 Re: Paul's k3
hi thanks sanzomat for the reply I think you are right about finding where the coolant is going. I have found that the rubber pipe has come off the stainless pipe which runs under the car so I'm going to change the radiator it was something I was going to do. to get to the pipe that has come off I will have to take the front of the car of so thought I would change the radiator at the same time for the mgf one. the mgf one is bigger and better than the original metro one. there is not much holding the rubber pipe on the stainless steel pipe I also got an email back from car builders suloshion Hi Paul, it must have been a faulty length, we've never had the issue before. I'll get a replacement part sent to you ASAP. Thank you Car Builder Solutions

 Re: Paul's k3
I have started to fit the mgf radiator. it looks like the metro radiator fixings are the same height its juts a little smaller radiator. the mgf one is wider so it looks like all I need to do is move the mounts in a bit and its at the same so should fit are problem one the electric plugs for the fans hits the subframe so I drilled the motors off and moved them around so the wire plus are at the top of the fan it still does not fit. its hitting something. I sent rich a Message and thanks for the reply Quote: I used a piece of alloy angle to make a lower mount across the base of the radiator and bolted that to the lower mounts which essentially lowered the radiator about and inch from memory. I cut the upper mounts off and made a new one out of the thin alloy sheet which I bolted to the front of the storage box.
It's tight but it fits..
Rich I think I have found the problem the corner of the bonnet is hitting the radiator. the driver side has a cut out so I cut the passenger one the same looks as it might fit now yes It's tight

 Re: Paul's k3
spot the difference? I think I have got it to fit I have this Alloy Water Sensor Adaptor to take the metro sensor to run the second fan but I think it will need a relay so I think I have a much better way in first photos the metro radiator had the sensor in the radiator for the fan it looked like it would fit the mgf radiator. it just did not have the hole. I drilled the hole in the new radiator in the second photo it looks OK just hope it does not leak

 Re: Paul's k3
I got the radiator to fit but when I went to fit the fans one did not fit it hit the black tub so I had to re fibreglass the tub I did get the two fan to fit in the end but not sure how much air will flow through the radiator
