Re: Annual Production numbers
Speaking with countless people over the last 19 and a half-ish years, including former KMB worker, Paddy and Peter, the chap who did the coupe drawings in 1968, Peter leslie (just to see if he knew anything I'd missed) countless previous Cox owners, a few racers and the odd few journalists from the time.
I can account for maybe 22 Cox, that I have heard stories of/or recollections of, from pas/current owners.
To the best of my knowledge, and agreed with others who have researched, this is what I have found 50>55 Cox. 1967 up to very late 1968 (evidence of dates can be proved)
70>80 Hereey's Between 1968 to 1973 (I'm not sure on this number, it seems too many to me very conflicting accounts).
0 KMB Coupe's, (a definite number in stone)
35 GTM Early 12" Coupe's. (numbers given by Peter Beck)
500>520 GTM 13" Coupe's. (maybe a bit ambitious but I didn't ask this particular question, not impossible, I think this is a
TOTAL Grand Touring Mini number,
My personal view only)
These figures differ slightly depending on who you speak to.
I also remember a story about someone getting GTM (Paddy & Peter vintage) to vouch for the fact that over 700 Kits/cars had been manufactured during the entire life of the Cox/Coupe run, So that he could get his hillclimb Coupe into the modified production car class

(mabe something smelly with that story but mabe

there might be truth in it somewhere ).
