Boot lids
We are at the moment well on the way to finishing the new design of bootlid for the Coupe. It is basically the same shape as the originals, but is one piece and has got the bulge extended enough to clear things like the filters on SU's, the top of the Weber carbs and most importantly for me, can clear the plenum on a turbo engine. I'm sure it helps with room on the 16v engines too, but I'm not sure what sticks out of the top of them!! Any, we are looking at getting a batch of them made, as a low production run and to try and work out how viable this would be, I need to know who would be interested in one. Also would you prefer a lightweight version, or for the road?? If I can have a show of hands, from anyone who would like one, then we can work out how much it would cost each. I know it isn't finished at the moment, but here is a picture of it when we had a trial fit: Anyone interested start a list below

Re: Boot lids
I'll have to take a rain check on that Tim - though I know you thought I might be interested. There's a good chance my supercharger might poke thru When I get to that point

Re: Boot lids
Oh ye of little faith! My coupe is now RED (apart from half of the front end - I spent all last weekend rubbing it down The blotchiness/fading is so bad you can even read "automatic" where the badge used to be on the rear panel

Re: Boot lids
Tim,
I would be keen on one if it was possible to send it over the ditch to Ireland, I need it to clear the Weber

Re: Boot lids
I'm sure we can sort something out. I have no idea how much the postage would be though. So..

Re: Boot lids
I'll check, but I pretty sure that the lids for the Cox and the later models are both the same.
EDIT: And as we are already going to send to Ireland, then I can't see a problem with Northern Ireland either.

Re: Boot lids
Tim, I think I will be OK for that boot lid, I had a go myself as I kinda figured your one as good as it would be would end up too expensive with shipping costs, the end result is not bad. Thanks for the offer though
