Coupe throttle cable
how do people route their throttle cable? mine keeps sticking and is not smooth. Does it need a mechanism fabricating to remove the bend in the cable? Thanks

Re: Coupe throttle cable
Is it lined?
I originally tried an unlined one and it was just as you described.
CBS sell nylon lined versions and you may get a Teflon lined one from Venhill.

Re: Coupe throttle cable
Teflon lined from venhill here.
I have a custom pedal in mine, the which hangs from the bulkhead, cable does a big smooth horizontal arc under the dash towards the driver to the center of the car, then another smooth big vertical arc towards the front bulkhead down to the tunne,l through tunnel and big smooth arc in the bay.

Re: Coupe throttle cable
Just a quick hijack.. Has anyone tried or succeeded in fitting any kind of drive-by-wire throttle? I've got an idea as to how, but not got so far as eliminating 'noise'/interference issues or designing in some kind of fail-safe..

Re: Coupe throttle cable
Thanks for the replies. Mine is lined but 3 meters long and i think the bends must be too tight. I'll order 4m of cable and see how it is

Re: Coupe throttle cable
Specialist Components have a drive-by-wire system for the A series but you need to buy their throttle body system first. Steve
