Its that time again chaps .

This is a copy and paste of a email I was sent yesterday and it outlines the MK DRIVE IT TOUR 2010.
Please PM me Turbocox if you intend to enter as for previous entrants please see you email as you should all have your notification on next years event .

Please be quick with your PM's to me, as last year the organisers had to turn away perpective entrants as the, event was over subcribed (only 150 places are avalible on this event and they are already taking entrants payments )



Dear MK TOUR 2010 Supporter,

The date is for Sunday 25th April 2010
We start again at Frosts Garden Centre, Woburn Sands, for a great breakfast or just a coffee.
First stop Millbrook where this year we have swapped the speed bowl for an extra lap of the
Alpine Circuit.
NEW ROUTE takes us through part of Beds, Bucks, Oxfordshire and Northants with a coffee
stop at Pro-drive spiritual home of the Subaru WRC Team and also Aston Martin Racing
— This will be a very interesting stop.
Round off the road run into Porsche Driving Experience at their circuit at Silverstone — with
use of the full testing circuit (open cars will not need umbrellas as we will not use the ‘shower’ section).
B-B-Q and pudding provided by Porsche Catering Team (price to be advised) — or as some of
you did last time, take a picnic although we cannot guarantee the sunshine.
SO… In order to guarantee a place please send your entry in NOW — MAX 150 CARS. Last
time we had to turn away several applications.

ALL this is for The Little Lives Appeal MK Hospital — Charity Number 1048297. (Milton Keynes Special Care Baby Unit)

This year we will not be sending a sponsorship request form although we would be grateful for any donations.

(Please donate to the charity, They do a really great job as myself (turbocox) and my wife can vouch for (our son was 14 weeks, over 3 months early, and made it due to this special care baby unit)

Anyone else going?

This was a very popular event last year with most saying that they were going to come along this year, so far West and Nog have replied , (Myself) turbocox, will be attending also.

Has anyone else entered and not told me that they are going?

Sorry Stuart, I didn't get around to booking , and as it's the weekend before Stoneleigh I'll be getting ready for that.

Gutted that I'll miss Prodrive .

I'm not there this year either. Will be next year in the coupe though. Mini hasn't reached peak reliability and the polo has gone bang in a big way. Anyone know how to glue a crank back together? Failing that, where a cheap 1.4 TDi volkswagen engine is? Engine code AMF

Good News everyone


Stuart survied the Alpine and Silverstone porsche experiance tracks as co-driver I think he enjoyied our antics at the porsche expriance we left our mark

30 foot launch tyre marks, don't make for the quickest getaway, but do bring on a smile and turn a few heads

Qoute of the day goes to the Prodrive employees... "it's a V12, 6 cylinder" Followed by..."you'll know more than me I'm no Engineer"
And when asked when did this workshop change to a Museum? we were pointed towards a "EXPERT" The answer came ..."in the early 90's" when we quized him why it wasn't a Museum in 97 and 98 His reply was... "Err.. I might have that wrong then" .

You had to be there I suppose.

Well what a day, covered nearly 300 miles door to door.
There were lots of cars, 195 altogether, loads of things to see and do.
I would recommend this day out to everyone.

You did make it , we never saw you . looks like from your picture you were number 98? we were 197 so a little down the que to you.

Just looked through some of my photos an I have worked out you were well hidden from were we came in behind a stag, next to a mondeo and ferrari, I can see them in one of my pictures, but you are hiding behind them

We were making good progress until prodrive we had caught up with number 120 from memory a group of minis.

Did you have fun around millbrook and the low friction surfaces of the porsche experiance?
