GTM Coupe for sale. Owner Malc Jones. Well sorted. Seen at many shows. 1989 kit finished and registered 1990, V5 present, Taxed to March 2016. MOT April 2016. 1380cc Type R, A+ engine by MED (Leicester). Look up their website for full spec of 1380 Type R. Many other extras - Vernier adjustable twin timing chain, 1.5 : 1 roller rockers. MED crank damper pulley, MED Lightened and balanced flywheel and clutch assembly. new gearbox with engine build secured with larger cap-head screws and copper gaskets at interface. Central oil pickup pipe. Tuned advance curve Alden electronic distributer and matching flame thrower coil. Twin 1 1/2" SU carburettors with ITG filter and stub stacks. LCB exhaust system Other goodies are Rossabits rose jointed rear tie bars, Spax adjustable dampers The Coupe was built as per the GTM demonstrator of the time with brake discs at the front and super minifin drums at the rear. Wheels are KN Minator with 165 x 60 x 13 Falken tyres. The underfloor area at the rear has been modified with the addition of a bespoke fibreglass air scoop which helps considerably with engine bay cooling without any loss of ground clearance, see photo
I am retired now but while I was working, the car was used all year round summer and winter. and never leaked water. Having used the car for 25 years now I am far less nimble than I used to be and I think the time has come to let some other enthusiast take care of it.
With £3000 of engine etc I am asking for a no quibble, no offers figure of £3650. The car will be at Stoneleigh Show on Sunday 3rd May all being well for anyone to examine and discuss.
