Looks like I'm coming. There are a few Kitnet people coming along now including another one who I think is Taunton based in a Lotus 340R, not a kit I know but quite a special car. Hopefully see you there.

Nearly met up with Rich. At least our cars got to meet eachother! I couldn't see any other GTM's when I arrived. Parked up and had some breakfast. Came back and found Rich's Libra parked right next to my Spyder but no sign of the man himself. Had a walk around the other cars, came back and waited by the GTMs for a while but my better half was keen to head off and do something less car related so we missed you!

Lol, pretty much what I did, went for a wander and you had gone by the time I got back. Didn’t see any other GTM’s! In fact it was quite light on kit cars altogether. By some miracle I am off for the next one too so will probably tootle along for that one too.

One of the Kitnet guys I drove down with lost his clutch about 5 miles short of Sparkford so once we'd realised it wasn't a roadside repair we left him waiting for the recovery. The other one is still driving his donor MX5 six years after he bought it to build his kit with - he will get around to it one day! The 340R did come but early and was gone before we arrived. There was a Smyth Ute which is an american kit to convert a Mk4 Golf/Bora into a pick up (also a Kitnet member). I saw a couple of Westfields, a couple of Cobras (guessing kits) and an AC Daytona (if not a kit, worth half a million!). For me the two Nobles were the stars and one of them was parked next to us so along with the two S1 Elises opposite we had the best dressed area of the car park!

The Nobles were impressive beasts, we were definitely in the plastic fantastic section!

One thing that did surprise me was the lack of Police, in my rallying days they would have been all over the event. Given the propensity for some of the attendees to leave in a cloud of tyre smoke I had fully expected a car or two to be parked up.
