How to block metro turbo plenum chamber off for dump valve?
ive got a coupe with a metro turbo motor in (totally standard).
Im wanting to put a dump valve on, ive seen that you need to weld a neck to attatch the dump valve on to, the part i really need info on is the blocking up inside of the plenum, does anyone have any photos from when they did it?
also what do you do with the rest of the vacum system??
Cheers
Chris

Re: How to block metro turbo plenum chamber off for dump valve?
Are you adding an external dump valve? If so you need to blank of the internal over pressure valve (under the gonzo's nose). A stack of five pence pieces and some good glue will do the job if you don't have access to a tig as the gonzo's nose holds it all together when it's bolted up. Then you need to get a spout fitted for the dump valve, either welded on or bolted through the wall of the plenum.
For the vacuum line, there is a flat spot on the m.t. inlet maifold. Drill and tap this to 1/8 BSP and fit a barbed fitting. Then just put a bit of hose onto the dump valve. Some, but not all manifolds have a take off on top of the servo banjo bolt. They often have a one way valve in there that you will need to take out.
