 Coupe - Front shock absorbers
On my track car the front shock absorbers appear to be shot.
I have minitastic fast road coil springs and a KAD anti roll bar all of which seems to work well, but the battered Spax shock absorbers do not seem to adjust very well.
Any recommendations as to which product would suit the car best?
David

Re: Coupe - Front shock absorbers
Have a look at Protech shocks, rebuildable, nice quality and a fair price. They have also just recently introduced a version that's separately adjustable for bump and rebound. Coilovers, plain shocks and Mini specific are available.

Re: Coupe - Front shock absorbers
I've had very good experience with the alloy AVOs very well made and not to much adjustabilty which I find can make things worse.

Yes there is, I think AVO was sold and the new owners are trading on the old company reputation. That's why i went for Protech.

Re: Coupe - Front shock absorbers
I have ordered Protech after a long chat to the guy who answered the phone, about the weight of the front of the car, the ride height (or more accurately the minimum closed length of the shock absorber).
Thanks
David

SPAM SPAM SPAM SPAM SPAM SPAM SPAM SPAM SPAM They do exist but I wudn't use them http://www.reviewcentre.com/reviews147780.htmlI wonder if you actually did phone up and ask for front shocks for a GTM Coupe whether they would know what you were talking about? And what the postge would cost from America (or is that maybe the Phillipines)? Iain
