Well not quite.
I originally fitted a 'Minifin' type MG Metro alloy cover which I drilled and tapped in order to fit a breather. The metal is quite thin though so I was never happy with the final result. I have finally got round to doing a better job. I turned and tapped an aluminium boss which I Lumiwelded to a spare rocker cover after I filed away some of the fins.



At the same time I removed some finning at the other end to give more clearance for the throttle and choke cables. Finally I cleaned it up with Clarkes alloy cleaner and a scouring pad ready for it to be painted red.

Finally got round to painting and finishing it.



Mmmmm! Shiny.

It was made with the breather, an MG cap does'nt fit, looks similar to an old fashioned petrol cap fitting. Its surplus so if anyone wants it for £15 posted

Is there a flat or a boss on the rocker cover where the breather unit fits or is it just screwed to a standard cover?

I should have taken a picture of the inside too, there is a boss, it looks like it was cast to take the breather. I've never seen another like it
