Replacing the rear track rod ends to rose joints was a major improvement on my car.

Over the winter I intend to change the inner end to a rose joint,

Mine too,my old one (1998) is getting a bit tired.

Minitici and I had a great problem with understeer on or Cox. Untill we found that the steering rack was loose and was "straightening" itself in the middle of the corners. Not what you want while driving up Doune Hillclimb.

For those who don't know it,just search utube.....

Ah well,

I was on a track day at Llandow yesterday, having a great time, until I got tangled up with the back of a Caterham, so now I need:

1) Either repairs to mine or a replacement front clamshell - anybody got a spare they want to sell?
2) A new windscreen - where can I get one for my 1988 Coupe?
3) A new radiator - no problem.
4) To straighten lots of bits of brackets - no problem.

There is no damage to anything serious!

The car was going superbly after a bit of TLC on the back suspension. The handling was amazing - best it has ever been for me. I intend to replace at least one track rod end with a rose joint on the back steering control arms to make it even better

So I will not be going to Z cars on Monday (tomorrow) - I need to sort out the front before I look at the engine any more!

Regards

David

I can tell you that Between posts 1 & 2 (Oak tree) the track is the same width as a MK2 Escort is long, you don't want to know why I know that.

Not sure who made the moulds for my car. I bought the car a few years ago with the moulds and a few spare body panels. If anyone else on the site knows who made them i'd love to find out myself.
