Post Heavy Clutch - Help?
I've recently bought a Libra and I'm finding the clutch very heavy, has anyone else had this problem who can offer any suggestions?

Thanks

I had the same problem with my Libra with PG1 gearbox and have just ungraded the gearbox to LSD one,I found the the clutch release arm on the gearbox was very stiff,I had a hydraulic clutch otherwise I think it would of snapped a cable.went I put this in my replacement gearbox after it was freed of the clutch is lighter. So this may need freeing off problem is it may be difficult to free off with the gearbox in place.

Hi, a stiff clutch that is not cable operated is normally down to problems with clutch release lever, both R65 and PSG1 both suffer from these problems.

The R65 box has two nylonatron bushes that need to cleaned or replaced if worn out.

THe PSG1 box suffers from poor lubrication, Mike Satur used to a modified version of clutch lever £30 + VAT which not cheap but definitely works as I put on of these on MGF for a friend, their clutch was a nightmare and started to slip where it was partly seized.

Anyway good luck let us know how it works out.
