Post What's a GTM Coupe worth?
Hi, just a quickie for opinions on the price of a GTM Coupe.

I was lucky enough to get mine for free as it was in someones way and ive since bought another one (in poor condition) for parts which was £650.

Then I see this one on ebay which is (currently) £1500 with an hour or so to go. Seems a very good price for something that is probably in worse condition than my free one was. Or is this car valued at a premium because its an early car?:

So i'm wondering what sort of price ranges they are when completed. I might be looking in the wrong place but I never see any for sale (in a driveable condition).

EDIT: Got to laugh, just saw the massive thread on the rareity of that car. Still, would be interested in the value of a "normal" gtm.

I would say that a standard car in top condition will set you back upwards of 3k - probably closer to 4k but this will be down to luck - right buyer right car.

Depends if you are buying or selling, selling you would be unlikely to find a buyer willing to bay that much and if buying it you would be unlikely to be willing pay that much.

There is no such thing as a "normal" GTM the build quality varies so much along with the condition, I know of early Cox with chassis that look like new because the have been dry stored and not used for over 40 years, however many 80's models may well be rust buckets.

Each car is so individual they are only worth whatever someone is prepared to pay. 0 to 2000 seams the norm...?

Not forgetting the specials, The old straker rally car and deans raly car being advertised near the thick end of 20K but these are trullly specials.

It really does depend on the quality and the exact spec and if there happens to be a buyer at the time looking for that spec of GTM.

It will be down to right car and right buyer at the end of the day. I paid what I consider top money for my Coupe as I've owned plenty of GTM's and have always wanted one. The "kit" part was in very good condition having been dry stored for 20 odd years and only done 2500 miles and that for me that was where the value was. I paid 3k for my Coupe and consider it worth the money. The sum of the parts is well in excess of this if you were to dismantle the car..........

I guess that is the true measure of the value.

Early cox on ebay by the way................
