 Inertia switch
Hi please can you tell me the most common place to locate the inertia switch on a K3, my car was running great then now it wont start. It appears the fuel pump wont run, no power is getting to it. Thanks Lee

 Re: Inertia switch
It is normally in the engine bay as it is part of the engine loom mine used to be on passangers side bulkhead next to the ecu. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ROVER-25-200-FUEL ... 45fa15964aThis is what you are looking for. Matty

 Re: Inertia switch
Close to the fuel pump would be my guess. Might be bright red, not black as in the link.

 Re: Inertia switch
Mine ended up mounted left side of engine bay where the tube from the sub-frame joined the bulkhead. Some joker had previously decided the best place was on the front of the rear boot - hit a large bump and coast to a halt

 Re: Inertia switch
My one was on the inner nearside wheel arch/splash guard and had a black rubber top, not probably the best place as it did activate once when I went over a very large pothole, it will be moved when it's time for hitting the road again, probably to near to the ecu on the rear bulkhead.
Oh you just need to press the top of the rubber block and it will click to reset and the pump will fire up once more.

 Re: Inertia switch
Thanks for the reply everyone, it was not the switch I believe it was a broken wire in the loom some how. I spent hours trying to find it but in the end put a new wire in via the solonoid so all is well. Fingers crossed MOT sat morning.
