 Drivers side window
Does anyone know what car the "glass gripper" came from for the K3. The bit I mean is the steel that holds onto the bottom of the glass and the winding mechanismn slides into to make the glass go up and down. My one has rusted (even though it was galvanised originally). I'm assuming it is out of a metro but without seeing one I can't be sure and I need to get one as my one is about to fall off the bottom of the glass sooner rather than later.

 Re: Drivers side window
On the Libra the mechanism is from a 3 door Kseries Metro, could a K3 be the same Bob S.

 Re: Drivers side window
Just checked the build manual that came with my car and it says that this part is from the donor car.
My car has electric windows so that's obviously doable as well. I'll try and make time to take the door panel off and get some photos one evening this week.

 Re: Drivers side window
Thanks for all the replies, at least I now know what to go looking for, having not seen a build manual and only ever doing kit builds that basically you needed to make everything fit from various donors I just wasn't sure.

Has anybody got pics of what the standard winder mechanism fitted to a k3? dbanes - did you manage to get any pics of your electric setup, as i'm looking to improve the one in mine as it makes horrible noises when they go up and down. Heres mine:

 Re: Drivers side window
Mines a standard manual regulator/mechanism with a motor bodged onto it. I'm thinking of getting two new manual regulators that haven't been chopped about and then using one of the universal kits like this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/400189974930? ... 1423.l2649
