Re: The National Kit Car Festival, Newark, 18th/19th June 2011
The club area is no20, same as last year, although it shows no21 on the site plan, I've contacted the organiser's and changed it. Camping [free] is only in the designated area, not on the club site. If you want any Regalia please let me know before I leave for the show [Fri], as space is limted in the Libra. Have a good one Bob S

75% chance I'll be there one day. Just need to sort the K3 out a bit before doing a long trip, well if you call 2 hours a long trip.
I'll sort out membership when I see you guys if that's OK.

Well tha K3 made it from back from Bristol so I guess I'll BT there, once I work out how to shave 2cm off the speed bump in my street, shame I can't pump up the hydrgas an inch from within the car:)
Also need to get my membership form in the post this week.

Re: The National Kit Car Festival, Newark, 18th/19th June 2011
Before deciding to buy the K3 I measured the garage (it's not a 'full size' garage), the driveway, checked out the ground clearance thread in the forum to make sure it cleared the drive way OK but just didn't think to measure the height of the speed bumps in the street. Not that I wanted to hang around in the middle of the road with a tape measure anyway!
As it's a private road I'm hoping that the residents won't mind if we get a 'tarmac shaver' in to trim the offending bump (there's only two) or cut a gap in the middle so the cooling pipework clears. Failing that I'll have to fit an underbody shield which will be a mega job.

Re: The National Kit Car Festival, Newark, 18th/19th June 2011
hello all, will hopefully be attending Newark and am very interested in a Rossa or Spyder over the coming months. having had seven types kits for the past ten years or more i'm looking forward to having something thats a little more useable on a regular basis. it will be interesting to see how the experience of 7's compares to a GTM. One thing that does concern me is if i'll fit (six foot four and 17 stone) and wondered if it would be ok to pop along at newark and have a sit in a couple of cars (i hear that seat/configuration is key to gtms) at some point a ride in one would be great but i need to sell the existing car first. dont laugh; its a v8 vindicator sprint www.sprint.web.officelive.com (and before i sell it it needs the bonnet painting, so dont want to waste anyone who has a GTM for sale asking for test drives just yet. thanks paul
