I don't think someone will claim the copyright as the modern GTM badge is so different compared to this one. If you can get them made, you've got your first customer, I need 3 of them.
Let me know what the options are please. I have also asked a friend of mine who can make these. The problem is the back side of the badge though. This is made from aluminium and therefore it's hard to reproduce. (that's what he told me). Keep me posted please!!

Re: Scan of badge I used a company to make self adhesive aluminium ID plates for machines. These were screen printed onto aluminium. They also supplied me with a vinyl that had a brushed aluminium / stainless finish that was quite effective.

If you want to spread the cost, i'll have a couple too.
Going back to the original idea of copyright:
I'd have thought that Paddy and Peter owned/used it last, and when sold on it was with the newer circular arrangement. So I guess it would be like abandonware. Either way, at the very most, if someone did claim copyright - just chuck them 50p, it's not like there will be thousands of reproductions about.

Re: Scan of badge With my limited understanding of copyright law ( via software development) and the way companies sell and buy products and brands I'd say The current owners of GTM own the copyright.
But that said copyright can and does expire and given the age of this design it's possible this has happened.
I suggest a call to GTM's new owners and I'm sure you'd get a verbal OK followed up by a letter to cover you, especially as it's a render of their brand that they no longer use.
