Post Re: Rossa pre engaged to inertia starter wiring
Ok, so the dizzy has been taken apart and put back together wrong?

Am i ok to leave it for mow and just move the leads round one terminal clockwise? I will be stripping the car completely in the next phase of the rebuild, so will get a new dizzy and electronic ingnition etc, i just want to make sure it runs before i spend mega money on it.

Cheers guys. Its sad but im really excited. It hasnt been this close to starting since ive owned it and this is a massive milestone.

The dizzy hasn't been taken apart - the drive gear has been replaced wrong. If you sort out the leads it will be fine for now provided that you can get the timing correct. Your dizzy will now be 90 degrees further round than it should so it might foul on something (eg starter motor) which could prevent it from moving as far as you want, if you see what I mean... Try it and see. Best of luck :)
