Raised bit on engine cover
How is the raised bit on the engine cover meant to be fixed? It isn't mentioned in the build manual but mine came with 4 L-shaped brackets 25mm wide bolted to the raised lip of the opening on the cover . The other end had been stuck to the rectangular bit with several tubes of silicone but had still come off. I've just been cleaning the silicone off the brackets and found bolt holes underneath it while the brackets look homemade but are necessary to allow clearance for the carbytooter. Are these as supplied by GTM and how are they supposed to be fixed? Obviously, I don't want the lid flying off and silicone has already been tried (and failed

), I don't suppose that a glue gun would be adequate and my fibre glassing skills are non existent so that leaves bolts (maybe dome headed stainless screws) but what method have others used?
