Post HELP!! MY CAR IS LEAKING VERY BADLY!
does anyone have any ideas on what door seals to use on a mk 1 rossa, its worse than a sieve! I have tried to use custom one from different websites but have had no luck so far I don't plan on taking the roof off any time soon and if I do ill just take the door seals off when I do. the windscreen is water tight and so is the join between the roof and the surround of the windscreen is water tight but around the back where the roof meets the bulkhead. any help will be much appreciated, thanks. here is a pi co the car :D

Nice tidy looking car. To bottow an acronym from the Lotys7/Caternam lot TADTS (they all do that sir).

As I see it, the fit of the hard top front and rear is problematic, but just like you I've resealed the front, fitted new apeture door seal - no change, I may permanently fit the hard top, use continuous door seal and fit some black PVC J shaped guttering - available from Car Builder Solutions. I think the shape of the top of the door shuts promotes water ingress.

I'm not sure how the Rossa and K3 differ - but My K3 the shape of the bottom of the hardtop imediately behind the doors allowed water straight into the car, I ended up putting insulation tape across the gap. (Hope that makes sense) also water was able to run down the screen then down the front of the tub and onto the heater and peddle box and into the car there.

Yep, from K3 experience a gutter is the best way to reduce the amount of water that gets into the car from roof. I have put new universal door rubbers (one piece) and the door opening with the idea I put back the old bottoms when the hard top comes off.

The best way to seal the rear the section of the roof is with bathroom sealant (silicon), I have sealed my K3 at the back without removing the roof by putting the sealant around the join and smoothing with the finger.

I hope this make sense, good luck.

my nelly (rossa mark II) has always leaked around the top of the doors.
she has guttering that helps a bit.
i park her with the front wheels lower than the back so that water coming in sits in the front footwells (rather than behind the seats) .
we have had the wettest summer ever so three times this summer ive gone out with a huge bath towel. and thrown the towel into the front footwells and soaked up all the water.
because they are fibreglass its matters NOT a jot that the floor is wet.
(i think of my nelly as an inverted dingy - wetter on the inside than the outside like an aquatic tardis)
and for some reason my nellys carpets dont actually smell - they should considering how wet they often are.
for many years nelly lived under a £10 argos gazebo that i roped to the ground at the back of the house to stop it blowing away. that stopped nelly getting wet inside. - its your cheapest "solution"

this ramble is no use to help you solve your problem but i hope you enjoyed reading .
