I have just registered on the forum and would like to know if I will fit in one?
I'm 6'3" tall and wonder if there is in fact enough head/legroom for me to fit.
Looked at the site and rekindled my interest, I remember reading my elder brothers Car & Car Conversions magazine when they did a build up back in the 70's and loved the look.

Hi Alan,

I am 6ft 21/2" & I struggle to getting into the drivers seat of the GTM coupe we rally.
I normally sit in the passenger seat & I have a crash helmet on, plus we have bucket seats fitted.
The thing I struggle with is the steering wheel & pedal box.
Maybe with a removable steering wheel & a standard pedal box I could get in alot easier.

Other tall guys on this forum may have more info when standard seats & pedal boxes are fitted.

when you are around this height careful selection of seat and postioning of pedals/seat/steering column make alot of differance.

I too regulary have a crsah helmet on too for drag racing, with my current seat it is a little tight sometimes catching the sunroof frame, but I do have some new seats to fit eventually which im hoping will give a little extra head room for race mode.

I took alot of time postioning my pedals/seat I regularly do long journeys and I find it comfortable.

The 13" wheeled versions of the Coupe had dropped floors which help a little.
Failing that you could always bond in a bubble roof for head/helmet clearance.
