hi all is there a northwest meet?

is there enough of us to start one, or we could just join in on another one??

There's a kit-car meet on the first Thursday of each month at a pub at the end of the M65... Oh hang on you might know about that one.



I know there's a second Coupe like mine (in bits) in Leyland and a Rossa (on the road) in Chorley but like me they go to the Leyland Mini Club meets on Mondays (I get the blame for being a bad influence). Not so relevant to your Libra but you would be welcome to come and kick tyres with us - you've got my number and email if you want details/directions. Same goes for anyone else in the area with a GTM that might want to wander over. Obviously if you want to actually join in with club activities it would be nice if you joined the club but for the regular Monday meets and natter at the pub - well it's a public place/house and it's plenty big enough for two car clubs to park and sit inside having a drink/meal/whatever (except for sunny bank holiday Monday's when it's always heaving - especially August).

Not sure "our" guys with the GTM's would be overly interested in a regular GTM only meet as it might be a bit sparse in our area (especially since the two Coupe's are off the road). It might be an idea to arrange a formal meet to co-incide if there are only going to be a couple of GTM's since they wouldn't need to worry about feeling left out/lonely if they know there will be other petrol heads there to talk to at least on general matters.

That tends to be my problem with the RHOCaR meet - we have prescribed change windows where we can do work that involves taking servers down and Thursday night is one of them.

There were a bunch of Hoods behind me when I took the photo - it just happened that the non-Hoods had parked together.

The Mini club meet at the Highfield at Croston on Mondays from 7:30ish onwards (although it can be 7:45 before anyone turns up). If it's nice night we'll be fairly obvious as we'll be stood in the car-park around the Minis (and MINI's). If it's raining or cold we'll be inside - usually sat under the big TV. Once we're into the winter months we drop the meetings to two per month but at the moment we're there every Monday.
