Terrapin A series
Not for me, but I was asked today how much does a 'A' series powered Terrapin weighs
Anyone have any ideas
I guessed at 450kg's

If you are talking about a Terrapin single seater I reckon they are probably less than 400kg - there is one that sprints at curborough, but I have no idea how to get hold of the owner.

According to High Speed Low Cost p138 -- 6 3/4 cwt which I calculate to be approx 350 kg with water, oil and a gallon of fuel -- weight distribution frt/rr between 34/66 and 29/71 -- very rear biased but not surprising with 3 1/2 cwt of A series in the back. There's a Terrapin website if you're interested but it doesn't seem to get much updating since AS passed on.
