 Mini in the park 2013 Anyone going this year? is there enough interest in a club stand? I cannot forsee bringing my car this year  Neil

Re: Mini in the park 2013 Can I take my coupe - Honda powered and take it in the run what you brung? It would have to be trailered in.
It is not road registered, mot tested, taxed but it does have an MSA logbook and scrutineer tickets.

Re: Mini in the park 2013 Yep you can, they prob stick you on the grass just outside the main entrance to the paddock. This seems to be the area where they stick people with trailers and no club stand.

The Kawasaki engined car is still in bits. We have procured everything, forged pistons, Carrillo con rods etc, I have had the cylinder head rebuilt, the block re nikasil coated etc etc. The bloke who is building the engine for me started and is making good progress but, the rings supplied with the pistons do not actually fit them, so I have sent them back. Given that we waited four weeks for the pistons I don't know how long it will take to get the right rings. It is so frustrating.
So I am doing some events in the red car and mini in the park sounds like fun.

Re: Mini in the park 2013 Have fun David, Im sure there will be lots of interest in the car, I get lots when I go. remeber to get your timing tickets from the siging on office be interesting to see what you achieve.
I may pop along as a spectator but unsure at the minute.

Re: Mini in the park 2013 Appallingly badly I am afraid.
I did two runs only and had gear selection problems on both runs.
On the first run it took me three attempts to find second gear and I did a 17.41secs.
Run two was a bit better after lubricating the gear linkage at least I got second gear at the second attempt but then selected fifth instead of third but improved my time to15.89 secs - I think it is the first time I have used fifth gear in the four years I have owned the car!
There was another GTM, a road going car, there today.
The commentator did say that he hoped the very quick GTM (presumably you) would show up .
No challenge from me then.
