Post Dashboards
Whilst wondering round Stoneleigh it was noted that the Libra dash looks sooooo much better than the metro dash in the K3 so the question is "can the Libra dash be fitted (with a bit of fettling no doubt) into the K3.

Didn't have time to get a tape and start measuring so has anyone changed their dash from the standard metro unit?

If You use the GTM instruments - don't measure the dash measure Your cheque book.

I will admit it had crossed My mind too.

And I've not forgotten about hood rails.

Malcolm If the weather stays like this I might just have to look at the roof rails myself this coming weekend so will let you know what happens.

Car ran hot on the way home again but only on the motorway, in traffic it sits perfect so will have to investigate a bigger rad, or possibly an additional in-line water pump to help circulation, and sooner rather than later as it would appear that it will be used on longer runs in the future so don't want any overheating issues.

Just to put a diferent slant on the dashboard theme, when building my Libra I used the Libra Binacle but inserted the Metro instruments. I thought it looked quite good. If you can get the Libra Binacle to fit in the K3 you can certainly use the Metro instruments, it just means finding another place for the switches and heater controls.

Don, I think she just liked the look of the Libra dashboards and not that worried about the actual instruments in them so I will need to do some measuring to see if it will fit and then work out costs. It will be one of those jobs as and when it works out as first off I need to sort out the gear change or seats (she is a bit on the short side and can't get all the gears when the seat is fully forward) then the wheels and ride height followed by the hydraulic clutch system etc. etc. but better to have the ideas and work on them than jump in two footed and totally cock it up.
