Post Rossa K3.
Hi I was hoping to get some advice on a part built Rossa K3 that I have been loooking at. it has never been registered and has all the parts necessary to complete it. Do you think it would be possible to finish the car, get it tested to current standards and put it on the road or should I stay well clear. You advice would be welcomed. :D

Hi Martin.

Welcome. If you really like the car then give it a go. The K3 is a much more modern car than my Mk1 Rossa and a lot of the problems that I had simply won't arise, although that's not to say that it won't have problems of it's own...! It is important that you read the IVA manual which you will find here https://www.gov.uk/vehicle-approval/ind ... al-manuals and you need the one for M1 vehicles. It's good bed time reading (sends you to sleep  ) but with the cost of the test (£450) it's well worth it. Good luck.

Edited to say that I've just re-read your post and see that the car is part built so a lot will depend on the quality of the build and parts used. Mine was a load of scrap badly put together in a coal cellar at midnight during a power cut, or at least it seemed like that  However, I did buy it unseen but most things were not apparent just by looking at them so be careful.
