Anybody know?.....
The seal that sits between the metal channel and the door "skin" is a bit worse for wear on mine so I'd like to replace it but it appears it's not a Mini part like the rest of the sliding window assemblies. I've tracked down two possible alternatives and wondered if anyone can advise which is the right one (coz none of the sellers supply dimensions and they ain't open to phone and ask at the moment).
Number one is from here
http://www.sealsdirect.co.uk/bbCMS/shopping.asp?intDepartmentId=68. Product number ATJ1937 (Jaguar XK 150 type roadster waist strip). But this doesn't have a metal strip in the upright part by the looks of it.
Number two is from Europa. It's their Rigid Waste Seal. If I had to bet I'd lean towards this one as it does look to have the metal insert. Just a shame it'll work out at more than twice the price for the pair.
I could phone them in the morning to ask about dimensions but was just hoping someone might be able to give me the definite answer so I could place an order tonight and hopefully have the seal by the time the door is painted and ready to be re-assembled.
