Post Coupe Components
Following our brief presentation at the AGM Bob has suggested that we provide an update on the Coupe project via the forum.
Many will remember that Peter Leslie bought the project in 1995 and re-branded it Primo Cars. Peter did a lot of work to modify the car for SVA -- relocating the headlights, safety column etc plus some mods to the engine cover for more clearance around the carb/air cleaner.
Peter built a car to this specification, which we own, but did not get round to changing any of the moulds. After Peter passed away Mrs Leslie kept the project in dry storage for many years until she felt that she could sell it on. In 2012 we bought the whole project including the moulds, jigs, tools, and intellectual property. Our intention in doing so was to supply parts to owners of Coupes so that we can keep as many cars a possible on the road. To that end we are currently in a position to supply parts for the 13" wheel car as follows:

Exterior Panels
Supplied in grey gelcoat -- a colour match is virtually impossible -- requiring flash removal and some minor preparation before paint. The bonnet is supplied with the hinge panel incorporated and will require the rear edge trimming to suit the doors. The engine cover has some minor surface issues that won't polish out of the mould and will require slightly more preparation.

Interior Panels
Supplied in matt black gelcoat with the "vinyl" effect and will require minor flash removal

Chassis Tub
Supplied in grey primer finish will require sealing prior to paint

Windscreens
We are currently in discussion with the original supplier for clear laminated windscreens but will need to order 5+

Wiring Looms
From the original supplier with connectors to suit the Triumph column. Again we need to order 5+

In addition to the above we would be open to any suggestions from Coupe owners as to parts they need -- examples might be repair panels for the tub, sections of the body panels, side window glass etc. We have the drawings for all of the metal components so re-manufacture of the entire kit is possible.

As mentioned in another post we are in discussions to access a Cox version of the car so if there's sufficient interest we might be able to supply parts for 10" wheel cars in the future -- historic racer anyone?

A price list is available -- all prices are ex-works assuming collection from Colchester Essex -- delivery by individual negotiation -- and include VAT.

Hi Steve
Just wanted to say 'well done' for taking on this project & getting it to where it is. If i still owned a coupe, it would be good to know that if something happened to my pride & joy, that i could still get spares for it. Also good to hear your presentation at Stoneleigh & to put a face to another name on here.
Keep up the good work :D

Good to have an update.

I could be interested in some bits at some point but will have to speak to you in person about a couple of things.

gents,
Thanks for all the encouragement.

flapjk1 -- I'm afraid there isn't a mould for a LHD dash -- I don't think anyone thought about exports back in the day. If you have something to base it on we could look into it.

WEST -- give me a PM or a call when you're ready.

Steve,

I'm still interested in quite a few parts for my kit. Just been to busy to work it all out!
But if you need names for a batch of wiring looms I'd definitely be one of them. That much I do know!

Regards, Andy

Great news. Is the rear half of the engine cover available on it's own?

Steve,

This is great news that parts are available again.

Is there any plans to produce the primo engine cover? Either a one piece or two piece is fine. Mines turbo powered, so needs a longer bulge. I would be interested in some door cards, and the panel that forms the boot. Mine has been cut out and would ideally like to replace it.

Cheers
