Post Custom driveshafts
After having my shafts to machine up for 7 weeks the local machine shop has decided he is too busy to do them for me. Can anyone recomend anywhere to make a new set of custom shafts or somewhere which can machine down my donor shafts and make sleeves for me to TIG them up. Thanks

CPS Drivelink in Gateshead can shorten, lengthen or fabricate new driveshafts from scratch and they can make uprated versions too.

Thanks CPS want £295 a shaft  Jedi race cars want £195 a shaft and sounded interested in the project too so going to get them to do it. More expensive than i thought

Oh yes shafts are not cheap, especially custom ones mine are Allspeed engineering off the shelve ones for their Mini conversions, at about £330 a set plus on top the custom cvs which are about £105 each! Plus VAT!

On the positive side at least I know they are up to the job and have taken a lot of abuse so far.

The Mini based shafts Jedi have made for thier race cars have to cope with up to 200bhp 1000cc bike engines using 10" slicks so should be more than man enough for anything thrown at them with an A series engine :D

Late to the conversation and it sounds like the OP is sorted but another useful name to add to the list for anyone looking for similar.

http://www.broadoakgears.com/

They recently made me a set of shafts to connect a Micra engine to Mini CV joints.
