Post K3 engine removal
Hello everyone

Buying my first rossa k3 quite soon, and it is in need of some restoration, so sorry to bug everyone with all my posts.

I'm considering removing the engine and gearbox, to paint the subframe and engine bay. Just wandering what it's like to remove if anyone here has done it? Any tips appreciated.

I've only just done it, if you are doing the rest of it just disconnect all the connections and drop the subframe, complete with engine and box off the back, you can then roll the entire assembly around to where you are going to disassemble it. It still rolls ok with the suspension de pressurised.

Ah, hadn't realised I could do that. So from the sounds of that should be really easy to do then.

It's all relative, but having lifted the engine in and out and done it this way I know what I'd do again.

No worries, I hope you have a garage! I don't and it has been painful over winter.

I do but unfortunately it's not there at the moment, although asking as I can start get the engine to start and it and the gearbox are ok, I'll wait until I can get it in there. So many jobs to do it's going to take some time.
