1.8 vvc k3 conversion, no doubt again....
No doubt this has been done to death, looking at 1.8vvc into a K3.
Basically if I get a mgf mgtf and remove the subframe complete what will I need to mod?
There are two types of suspension on them the spring and the hydro, I have heard that the subframe is the same as the k3 just with more brackets, is this true for all the rear mgf mgtf subframes?
I have seen a mod about the metro engine mount needs to be shaved down for use in the K3.
Engine ok with ecu and loom
gearbox ok with either cable or hydraulic and cable gear change
clutch ok
inlet manifold and loom ok
suspension? can you use the later MGTF springs and trailing arms etc?
or best stick to the classic metro rover setup?
what about the drive shafts and hubs, does this change the track?, or which ones to use.
Brakes use mg ones?
Pipework etc
exhaust ??
I am thinking of making one up on the subframe complete the "just" swap one subframe for another, its got a 1.4 in at th moment.
Any useful links and advice gratefully received
