Re: Lands End to John O'Groats Relay, 23rd June 2018
I'm not completely sure who'll be on that leg but there will definitely be a black Passat covered in stickers that is doing the whole route as support vehicle/mobile mission control and whatever Adam Wilkins from CKC ends up driving as he and his father are also doing the whole route. I'm expecting there will be a black CC Cyclone and possibly Ian Stent's green one. There will be a number of Duttons from the Northern Duttoneers. I think the Tebay services near J38 of M6 is going to be a popular starting point. If you use the tracker on https://locatoweb.com/en/tracks#GB and look for KITNET/CKC LEJOG LIVE you should be able to see a live update of where the convoy is and how fast they are travelling so you can judge when to join the motorway.

I'm told that for the live tracking, for the Lands End start and after the joining of the ways, the broadcaster name will be via "GaryRH7" on Lacatoweb. Gary is the mobile mission control in the support vehicle.
I'm not sure who'll be broadcasting the tracking for the Dover start but will let you know - is anyone planning to join the eastern convoy - Dover to Sandbach?

For anyone not going but interested in watching the progress there will be live updates on our feed on https://locatoweb.com/en/tracks#GB look for KITNET/CKC LEJOG LIVE - the GaryRH7 version is likely to be the best one to follow and there should be regular updates via the kitnet.uk forum https://kitnet.uk/community/threads/lejog-live.2128/ (free to join for the first two weeks trial) or via the kitnet.uk facebook page (can't direct you to that as I don't do facebook!) What a fantastic achievement, well done all who took part, but what happened to the Dover cohort?

Don Stephenson wrote: but what happened to the Dover cohort? Good question! There was a beautiful 60's Ferrari replica that started from Bishops Stortford, I believe you met him at Grantham, he joined the convoy in Cumbria and went all the way to Glasgow but other than that the eastern contingent seems to have evaporated without a trace!

The white Libra is me just outside of Tebay Got to say that although I only did the Tebay….Abington section it was a good run and glad I could take part and help with the achievement.
If you are going to do it again.... count me in
