Post Andrew's Heerey GTM
Andrew my nephew has got himself and early Heerey 10' wheel GTM to restore without him knowing I'm building one, the chassis has the deep Vee in front of the screen but the later square tube frame to hang the rear subframe.
He needs door catches and does not know what car they come from, I though Mini but he said they they are not?
John

Post Re: Andrew's Heerey GTM
Thanks John! This is my car, the history I know so far is that it is an early Heerey body and doors but has the space framed rear end, have showed Howard Heerey and he is a bit confused by it as he says it definitely the first model from when he took over from Cox. My guess would be that at some time maybe someone put the space frame rear end in to ‘upgrade it’…
It was first road registered in 74 and was last taxed in 89 so not exactly on the road for long. It was sitting in a barn in Yorkshire for the last 17 years until I bought it. I have most of the parts, some bits missing like the door catches (the bit that attaches to the door frame) I have seen a couple of Cox cars with them on but no one seems to know what they came off.
