Post New to GTM's
Wasn't sure where to post so here goes.
Recently bought a K3 (hope that's ok with you lot) for the wife. It has a few issues but nothing major, worst thing is the water on the inside but I'll ask for help in another post.
I have been into cars for a VERY long time. Custom cars, hot rods, drag racing, american cars and more recently kit cars.
I originally got into kits because it was cheaper to insure a kit for my daughter than it was for a classic MG, however the first kit I got was a Nova that the DVLA wouldn't let me register so that one was sold and I got another Nova with correct documentation and am still rebuilding it some three years later.
My daughter recently wrote off my saloon car so I needed to get a car quickly and went out and bought a Quantum Coupe with an XR2 engine and running gear, it had a few faults that I am sorting out but for the main she is happy driving it about (just purchased an 1800 injected engine and box to go in it at sometime soon, needs a few mods to do so but nothing much).
Well then came the wifes "new" car, she was looking at Smart cars but I went out and bought the Rossa which she is now a little happier with, although it isn't on the road as yet again due to issues that I am sorting.
I also have two Eagle SS' (the boys car to be if he gets his finger out) the original MG midget bought for the daughter, a Mk1 capri that we used to drive daily with a 3.5V8 and manual box a Mk11 Zodiac that we used to race (now without engine or box) a 79 Corvette 350 manual another 67 Vette that I have had for over 25 years and it still isn't rebuilt yet, a 205 cti and my daily driver is a Chevy Suburban 4x4 with a 7.4l engine on LPG. Before anyone goes on about gass guzzlers the Suburban is to be replaced with a very much smaller Chevy Blazer with a V6 4.3l engine that I have just purchased but needs the engine rebuilding as it is seazed (see a common thread, cars that need work).
There are a few other bits and bobs knocking about but in the main that's it.
Hopefully I can gleen some useful info from you all with regards the K3 which I am immensley impressed with even though it needs things doing to it.
