Absolutely. Engine and box is no different to a mini/metro.

The thing being - if you are needing sc drops, then you are producing a healthy amount of power - which means you have already spent a small fortune tuning the a-series, when you could have been doing a conversion for half the money :D :D :D :?

i was looking into a converstion for the gtm...but as i have a rossa its apparently rather difficult...so i will just leave the engine as it is...but i am thinking of stickign a few things to it...

Its a 1293 minisport engine which i am told is more or less a turbo engine without a turbo...so i could just slap a turbo on it...but i dont want to...i am thinking of just paping a few tinkering things such as SCDG, stage 3 head, turbo valves, blah blah nothign exiting...

Nobody has proved this to be the case yet.

I'm thinking that any motor that will fit in an un-modded mini engine bay will fit a Rossa - you might have to mod the bulkhead a little, but that wouldn't be difficult.

Even a simple conversion like the carbed Micra engine would give you a helluva lot more potential than the a-series.

And, AFAIK it'd be the first converted Rossa. :D :D :D
